Etimon Focus: Paisley
Once home to some famous faces such as Gerard Butler, Paolo Nutini and David Tennant to name a few, Paisley is a vibrant town offering some of the most desirable amenities in Renfrewshire. We love Paisley and we are certain you will too. Take a look through our guide to the town:
Perfect Transport Links
Paisley provides the excitement of the city without the price tag. Arguably, Paisley offers some of the best transport links in Renfrewshire. The M8 dives into the heart of the town, connecting it to Glasgow City Centre, the borders and beyond. A commute to Glasgow City Centre typically takes around 25 minutes. Paisley Gilmour Street, the fourth busiest train station in Scotland, also offers direct links to the city in as little as 11 minutes. Paisley also boasts convenient links to Glasgow Airport; the journey can take under 10 minutes by car. Such efficient transport links make Paisley an ideal place to live and work.
With a wide range of culinary options, there is something to suit everyone in Paisley. From cheap eats to a more sophisticated affair paisley has it all. We’ve listed some of our favourites:
Located next to Paisley Gilmour Street station, Rebecca’s offer a range of tasty options at a price that won’t break your budget. The relatively small but charismatic restaurant provides cosy surroundings and some seriously good desserts, we would highly recommend!
Burger and Keg
Although still considered as relatively new to Paisley, Burger and Keg is known for some of the best burgers in town. The restaurant is as quirky as it’s menu, which offers a choice of weird and wonderful toppings including macaroni fritters (don’t judge it until you’ve tried it). At night, Burger and Keg transforms into a late-night hangout, hosting a range of DJ and music nights.
Obsession of India
Priding themselves on quality, obsession of India boasts some of the most delicious Indian food in Paisley. Located on Moss Street, the restaurant also offer a set menu to keep your budget in tack and your belly well fed.
As if direct links to Glasgow weren’t enough, Paisley has a range of shopping options. The Paisley Shopping Centre offers big brand shopping while 10 minutes on the M8 reveals Braehead Shopping Centre, one of Glasgow’s biggest shopping facilities with fantastic entertainment options for both kids and adults. Paisley also has small, independent shops, great for all those little extras.
One of the best things about Paisley is the affordability of property. All the benefits from city living can be reaped at half the price from that of Glasgow City Centre. Etimon offer a range of properties within the Paisley area both for rent and for sale. As a native Scottish property specialist, we pride ourselves on our local knowledge and expertise.
